Community Speedwatch Programme
Hello,
Thought to start the first discussion. So when hopefully more Silver End people join the network and this group. We have something to start off with.
The Speedwatch programme came into the limelight when we've had a few accidents in Silver End with a fairly recent one turning out to be fatal.
A discussion with the Parish council highlighted that speeding has been an issue for some time and this discussion led to the speedwatch programme.
This speedwatch course took place in January 2009.
After the newly aquired skills we were all rearing to have a go but...we started to get a lot of snow and under these conditions we couldn't do the speed check.
However, it is now a hot summer (so far)... so let's hope that those that have attended the course go out and put it into practise!

Hi Yvonne I've lived in Silver End nearly 5 years now and have never seen anyone doing the spedwatch thing. When does it happen? I agree it needs doing btw along with a load of other things to stop the rot in this beautiful village.
