Hi Yvonne I've lived in Silver End nearly 5 years now and have never seen anyone doing the spedwatch thing. When does it happen? I agree it needs doing btw along with a load of other things to stop the rot in this beautiful village.

Hello and welcome to my personal page!
I moved to Essex four years ago and I truly have fallen in love with this County and its people!
Although my origin is Dutch, I felt very welcome within our local community.
I'm married to Colin who is British and he is also my personal editor as after years of living in the UK, at times, I still speak and write double dutch, lol!
I have three children and they all go to Silver End School. Mae, Rhyan and Amy-Ryelle.
The inspiration for this community web-site started when the economic crisis took off. Trying to keep the kids happy in the school holidays without spending too much money or just the expense of throwing a birthday party! The local supermarkets having a price war was ideal but...some I noticed had promotions but didn't update the new prices in their computer system. Checking the bill...I noticed that at times I paid full price! (Sorry Tesco's but Braintree and Witham Tesco's both made these errors). How many of you haven't noticed this and went home without asking your money back?
To tighten the money spending belt, I investigated which places were value for money, where to go for certain products or just having a great day out.
However, I can only speak from my point of view...and hopefully with this site, we can share this type of information and avoid being tricked and lose money on the way.
